Welcome to the website for the Rossall sea defence project. This project aims to replace the existing sea defences and promenade with an improved sea defence, designed to cope with the projected rise in sea levels over the next fifty years, and with a feature rich promenade to improve the experience for the many residents and visitors who regularly use it.

This website is planned to be a record of the journey from concept, through design, planning and construction, to the finished new facility. We welcome your input, suggestions and comments throughout the process.

The first phase of the public consultation period for this scheme has now finished. Once initial designs have been produced the public will be consulted further for their comments and suggestions.
